Journal - My Hero The amount of thoughts, both high and low, that have passed through my mind from the moment I first received the most loaded yet simple text message at 2:30pm today, June 25 2009, that the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, my idol had passed away, is endless. Even as I sit down right now writing these words, which I can't seem to type fast enough, it is almost impossible to bring into reality the truth.
I could not have expected my reaction at the immediate moment of reading the words sent to me by a close friend of the news. I felt my breath lock into a huge lump in my throat and my heart started beating faster and faster into a gallop. I had literally just finished talking about the London show with a friend and my parents 10 minutes prior, and my excitement to see the man I have admired since I was in the womb (my mom used to put headphones on her stomach, and anytime she played his music I would kick) do what he was born to do on that stage. I had just worked out to the Dangerous album yesterday. And as if it were the universe bringing my attention to him, my iPod, which I always have wake me up to a random song in the morning, chose Don't Stop Till You Get Enough to get me up out of bed and start my day. And to think, now the whole world is playing his music from their car, from their home, or even just in their heads. The music that is, beyond any other element that could be brought into the overall picture of how any one person may view him, a symbol and a living energy that represents one human being's heart and soul, yearning and thriving for excellence...perfection, and for strength, love, and humanity. I say it is easy to see in his legacy that he has achieved just that.
However, even in the pique of the sadness that has swept me and millions of people all over the world, I can't help but smile. Not only because I know the angels are receiving a rockin' concert in heaven right now, but because of the memories and spirit that will forever linger, very present, among those who loved him. And I am so blessed to have truly had a real tangible connection to him. I had the honor of actually meeting him, actually shaking his hand, actually speaking to him, and actually performing in front of him. ME perform in front of HIM! It seems since my early childhood, having and listening to every single one of his albums, watching his every move in every single video, studying his incredible body of work, I have always somehow been continually moving in his direction. My heart goes out to, Kenny Ortega, Chuckie Klapow, Alif Sankey, Travis Payne, Rex Salas, and many others who I have had the pleasure of working with and who have all been a big part of MJ's journey, all slowly bringing me to the most surreal and unforgettable moments of my life. MJ brought his beautiful children to the High School Musical Concert Tour in Las Vegas where he proceeded to come backstage and introducing himself to all of us. Then he stayed and watched the show till the closing curtain. And to top it all off, he pointed me out to Kenny giving his approval! But the true highlight was when I got the opportunity to talk to him on the phone while in Paris with the HSM cast. I of course didn't realize why at the time, but I took that final encounter with him as a chance to tell my hero what he had meant to me, in art, in dance, in music, in life. I will never forget his words. He told me "No matter what happens with the fame and the fans, all of it, it can get lonely up on that stage, you know that. As long as you truly have people that care about you and appreciate what you do, and you keep them close, that's what matters". And he thanked me for telling him what I had told him, because that is what keeps him going. And he told us that he was proud to see a new generation of young people, young artists, seeking to make their mark on the world. I cried. That is my hero. I know that very few people get a chance to hear such words directly from the person whom they admire most. I thank God for that. Because that is what is rooted deep within my drive and my desire to do what it is that I do. That is what Michael Jackson means to me. And I vow to continue to strive for what he has taught me.
No matter what happens now, I know that the world will never forget this legendary man. I pray for his family and I hope that through their tears they can feel comforted realizing that there should be no regrets in life. He has made such an impact on so many people, including myself. And he has truly achieved greatness. Our lives are our own and they are what make us unique. We will all miss this truly unique individual. May we all cherish the lives we have. And May Michael Joseph Jackson, My Hero, rest in peace. - Corbin Bleu
__________Journal - Sweat, Blood, and Off-Work Work Hey guys, so I write this down with my arm wrapped up in plenty of gauze and tape simply because I felt the need to scratch my motocross itch and take my newly supped up bike (which is probably a little too powerful for somebody at my level of riding expertise) for a run on the track. I'm absolutely fine, no broken anything, just a nasty scratch and the after bruising of what to me felt like a pretty gnarly fall...but to anyone else it probably just looked like the wind blew and I tipped over, haha. Man I love this sport! I went to the Super cross season finale race in Fabulous Las Vegas to witness James Stewart take the season championship. Next up is the out door season! My goal is to try to be to the MX world what Jack Nicholson is to the Lakers, lol.
Aside from dirt bikes and battle wounds I've been taking up my time with off-work work, which is the work you do to keep the muscles moving and creative juices flowing while you don't have any other gig going on. Basically, I'm just trying to find the right project. We have a few of our own in development (some pretty cool projects I might add), but those are still in the beginning stages and not exactly taking up an exuberant amount of time out of my day. So that leaves me with plenty of time to train and work out in the gym, work in the dance studio on developing new movement for future music projects, listen to and study new and old music (all genres), continue to train vocally, play my piano and hopefully start up a new instrument, get into some acting workshops, read scripts, read up on what's going on with the rest of the world (because "There is life outside your apartment" - Avenue Q), READ MORE IN GENERAL, catch up on movies that I've been missing out on, learn Italian (although I fear that one might take longer than I hope =) ), and keep open eyes and ears when it comes to different opportunities that may present themselves in ways that aren't necessarily obvious. Of course I'm also taking this time to spend with my family, catch up with friends that I don't always see due to being somewhere on the planet other than home, lol, and continue to work with various charities and organizations. But my point (and this is a little advice for anyone out there that wants to do something in life) is that even if it seems like there is nothing going on, there is always something that can be done to make you better in any field. Even if you work day and night, it's the moments throughout the day where you are truly present and improving that make you better as a person. I know I definitely still have a long way to go, and will always feel that way, but I know that means each day I'm farther than I was the day before. And until someone figures out the meaning of life and lets me know, I think I'll live by that.
"Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains. You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near." - James 5: 7-8

__________Journal - Serve America Act Hey everybody,
Last week, a bi-partisan super majority in the House passed the GIVE Act (the House version). Yesterday the Senate began considering their version, the Serve America Act.
The Serve America Act, if passed, would expand opportunities for people to serve at every stage of life, and use service to meet specific national challenges, such as tackling the dropout crisis and strengthening our schools, improving energy efficiency, safeguarding the environment, improving health care in low-income communities, expanding economic opportunities for low-income individuals, and preparing for and responding to disasters and emergencies.
Read more about it in TIME magazine.
Then take action and get your Senators to support this important bill.
Thanks for helping out!

__________Journal - Speed Of Light Hey Everyone! I know it has been a long time since I've made an entry, but I've got some good excuses :). First of all I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful birthday messages they left. Between my SayNow Phone, My MySpace, and all of the CBF Crew on the website, I got enough birthday wishes to last all the way through the year! Thank you! On my actual b-day I went to see my sis perform in her choir at her high school. She really is incredible. Then my family took me out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory! It's all about those Buffalo Blasts! The next day I saw a few friends and we chilled back at the house, shot some pool, played some Guitar Hero, and watched the Oscars. It was just nice to be home to celebrate.
Besides that I've been doing shows in all different types of settings. Some of you already know that I performed during the NBA All-Star Weekend at the half-time show for the Rookie Game. My highlight for the whole time I was out there in Phoenix was definitely the moment right before I went on stage. I had on my in-ear monitors and couldn't hear anything going on around me, so it wasn't until I saw a giant hand extended in front of me that I realized Shaq had been trying to get my attention! The dude is huge in person! I took out the monitors, shook his hand, and he told me to have a great show and that he was rooting for me. Thank you Shaq!
Next I had a couple of weeks performing with the High School Musical Ice Tour. I know, I didn't exactly know how that was going to work either, but it turned out to be great. Pretty much the skaters would do a well put together rendition of HSM 1 and 2 on the ice which I found to be a fun performance to watch, and afterwards they set up a stage directly on the ice where I went on to do a 15 minute mini concert. I was surprised after the first show to find that performing over the ice wasn't as bad as I had thought it was going to be. I thought we would be freezing up there, but once we started moving it felt like any other show. The skaters were all so welcoming and excited to have us there as well. It's amazing to watch them work. If I even tried to do any of the things they do I would end up in a cast. They also know how to have a good time off the ice. One night we decided to go out salsa dancing. We took over the whole place and danced till we couldn't move anymore. Sadly the last show I did with them was also their last show together after having been touring with each other for a year and a half. They all said that they had been a part of tours before, but this one really was one to remember. Of course they were all very emotional that day and it reminded me of the last day of filming on HSM3. This project really does bring people close together somehow.
Finally it was on to the album release! Speed of Light has officially dropped everyone! I was in NY when it did, which unfortunately was my Mom's Birthday. Don't worry, I called her to wish her a happy birthday and we celebrated when we got back. While out in New York I made all of the rounds: Music Choice, 106 & Park, The Today Show, MTV, Mike and Juliet, I performed on Regis and Kelly, and I went on the Tyra Show. Tyra was probably the most insane T.V. appearance I've ever done. She's a ton of fun, and knows how to keep the show interesting. That will air on the 24th of March. Thank you to all of my fans and to everyone who got Speed Of Light. If there's anyone who has not gotten it yet, please check it out. I know you guys will like this one. It's crazy to think that the whole project started a year ago. I'm very grateful to be able to have had the opportunity to make it. Stay tuned though guys; I have a few tricks up my sleeve that I'm excited to share with you when the time comes. Till then, thank you always for your love and support!

__________Journal - History in DC Journal - History in DC in Jan 2009

Hey Guys,
I hope everyone is enjoying the New Year. The holidays are officially over for me and I have been back to work. I've still been enjoying a few outings here and there though. Last night I went to see Doubt. Now I know I've pretty much said great things about every movie I've seen lately (simply because this last year cranked out some really great heavy hitters), but this film goes to the top of my list. Not only is every aspect of the film delivered with precision and excellence, from the performances, to the direction, to the cinematography, even down to the make-up, but every moment in the film captures the theme in its simple title "Doubt". The characters doubt each other and themselves; the dialogue plays a tug of war with itself, and as an audience member you are left with your own doubts as to the conclusion of the movie. I LOVED it.
I've also been to three super cross races. I'm so hooked on the sport its not even funny. I'm a big fan of #7 James "Bubba" Stewart; and one of the racers, #220 Cole Seeley, is a friend of mine as well as one of my teachers when I first started learning how to ride. If you're into the sport, look out for him, he's going to be a force to reckon with one day.
I presented at the Critics' Choice Awards with Amanda Bynes for the Best Ensemble Category. Milk won and I got to hand over the award to Emile Hirsh. And now I am on my way to San Jose to visit a little girl named Bronwyn Arnold who won the Sara Lee Lunchtime is Showtime Contest for her entire school. She created a music video on why it is important to have a nutritious diet and eat whole grains. I'm going to hang out with the kids at the school and serve lunch.
But the highlight of my new year thus far was attending the once in a lifetime event, the inauguration of our new President of The United States of America, Barack Obama! It all started with a performance the day before at the Kids Inaugural We Are The Future that was hosted by Michelle Obama and the first daughters Malia and Sasha. It aired on Disney Channel that evening. There were performances by Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Bow Wow, The Jonas Brothers, and myself. I performed Moments That Matter, which I felt would be a very appropriate song for this historic moment. There were also 50 choir kids from Mt. Vernon High School who joined me in the middle of the song. That gave me chills. I am honored to have been able to be a part of such an incredible occasion. Just to see so many young people excited to celebrate the swearing in of our new president was so igniting. Then the next day was the actual inauguration. To be in the middle of that crowd! In every direction I looked I couldn't spot where the sea of people ended. Some were so far back there was no way they could have actually seen anything. They came just to be able to say that they were there, and that they heard our 44th President take the oath and begin his days as our leader.
"But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more." - Psalm 71:14
Peace and Love,
Corbin
__________Journal - Merry Christmas! Hey Everybody! I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. I am definitely taking advantage of some time off. All of my holiday shopping is done and I can finally just enjoy a relaxing Christmas with my family. My past two weeks have been packed with many different events, but I'll try to give you the best-condensed version I can.
Performances have made up most of the time I have spent. The Debbie Allen Dance Academy put on a performance of Brothers Of The Knight. This was a show that I myself was a part of a few years ago when I was at the academy. When my group put on the show, we had Ms. Allen herself play the lead role of Sunday. This performance was with Debbie's own daughter Vivian reviving her role. She was great! All of the kids put on an awesome show that brought back many memories. Even the choreography was exactly the same! Others who attended the performance were Berry Gordy and Denzel Washington, who are both big supporters of the school, and Quincy Jones, who I actually got to meet! I've been an admirer of his work for a long time. Everyone who attended has a love for the arts and proudly contributes to this academy. Sadly, the Debbie Allen Dance Academy will be losing it's residing home. I grew up in this amazing place of learning and will continue to do all I can to make sure it remains a place for young artists to nurture and hone in on their craft. Every bit helps.
All three of my younger sisters had performances at their schools as well. The two littlest ones had dance recitals, which are always fun to watch, especially because they just continue to improve and their love for dance continues to grow stronger. And the eldest one had a choir performance. That girl can sing! I'm so proud of her.
I saw two films, Milk and Twilight. Both had fellow co-stars of mine in them. Lucas Grabeel is in Milk and Kristen Stewart, whom I had done Catch That Kid with, is in Twilight. Both did a job well done I felt. I was extremely moved by Milk. Sean Penn is incredible in it. And I have now admittedly become a part of the Twilight craze and plan on starting the books. I have always been a fan of fantasy and the supernatural.
A friend of mine invited me to a holiday performance at his church, Grace Community. Overall it was great performance, and it is always nice to hear Christmas music. But one performer who I feel very fortunate to have seen is Phillip Webb. Phil is an operatic tenor who often performs with the Metropolitan Opera. His rendition of Oh Holy Night was the climax of the show and left me wishing I were an opera singer LOL.
My high school Chemistry teacher surprisingly called me out of the blue and invited me to a performance of the barbershop choir he is a part of that he had always told me about in his class. I know, random, but I'm so happy I went because one, I got to see him and I hadn't seen him for two years, and two, they were actually really good. They are a very prominent barbershop choir called The Masters of Harmony, and they consist of about 100 men. This was their holiday performance. They sang all of the classic Christmas songs, barbershop style, with insane harmonies and lots of gusto.
Speaking of my old high school, I went to visit LACHSA. The theatre students were having a holiday party at the school and the head of the theatre department invited me to come down and speak to the students. Walking the halls of my old school grounds was so nostalgic and made me miss being there. Getting the chance to spend some time with the new students there was so refreshing and energizing. Anytime I see young people working there tails off for their art that they love so much I am truly inspired and get a burst of excitement because I'm reminded of why I do what I do. I talked to them a bit about the entertainment industry and told them about what I've learned thus far through my journey. The most important point being that you should do what you love doing, simply because you love doing it. Any other ulterior motives may lead to disappointment. But that will never be the case as long as you are in it for the sake of the work.
I visited a children's hospital with several other young entertainers for an event called The Power of Youth. This event is held every year and this is my second year attending. No matter what, it is always events like these that I am most apt, happy, and proud to attend.
I also visited an elementary school in Watts and hung out with the kids and handed out candy canes. My father and I were so joyful to see how sweet and respectful the kids were. I believe that I if you can make a difference in just one persons life everyday, then that's one more person in this world taking a step in the right direction. And that's something better than nothing.
Let's see, what else? I attended a press event for Free Style, complete with full dirt track and plenty of Kawasaki bikes to play on :). And at the end of the day took home my very own 09 Kawi 250!
I went down to Mexico City for the world premiere of Free Style. It was my first time seeing it on the big screen and with a live audience (although it was in Spanish, haha). The reactions were great! And Mexico itself was very interesting. I saw a fire dancer doing his routine in the middle of a four-way intersection. Crazy! But besides that the people are great and the food rocked!
And finally, I shot a new music video for a song called Moments That Matter that is on my new album and is in conjunction with Free Style. First let me say that we went out to Lancaster in the middle of the desert to shoot this video where it was below 30 degrees! And in one shot I was wearing nothing but a t-shirt out in the middle of nowhere! Talk about suffering for your art, LOL. But we all braved the cold and the conditions of not having a real bathroom for a few hours. In the end...it was sooooo worth it! I couldn't be happier with the turn out. I really think you guys are gonna like this one. It was directed by Davy Duhamel. The whole video is a different look, different style, and different from anything I've had the opportunity to do thus far. I will hopefully have a link up for a teaser of the video on New Year's Eve. Also as a reminder, please be sure to check out the premiere of the music video for Celebrate You during Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years!
Merry Christmas Everyone! May God continue to bless and bestow his graces on each family and person!
Peace and Love,
Corbin
"Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."" John 14:6
__________Journal - Thanksgiving! I just got back from the Hollywood Christmas Parade where I got to play roll reversal. Radio Disney hosted a red carpet for several kids to walk down and be the stars of the evening, while myself and many other performers cheered them on from the sidelines and got autographs and pictures. It was so wonderful to see the looks on their faces. I had a blast.
I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving! I got to spend it at home with my family, which was the first time in two years. We had a huge feast that my mom prepared, and got to share it with some close family friends. Soooooo much food! And left overs to last for days! The day before Thanksgiving my father and I volunteered at the Los Angeles Mission and served food. It really puts perspective in your life. I have so much to be thankful for, and being with family is something never to take for granted.
Last week I shot a music video for "Celebrate You". It was my first time working with the director, Matthew Rolston. We were very fortunate to have him on board. The original idea for the music video was very simple and could have used a little more excitement. Once Matthew joined he had a very vibrant idea that I feel captured the magic the song speaks about. It was a giant masquerade ball filled with costumes, masks, a light show, and dancing. Travis Payne, who choreographed my last tour, created the mini show put on by our three beautiful ball girls. It is always a pleasure to work with him. He brings a very positive energy to any set he is on. As for me, I was feeling very regal in my masquerade outfit, equipped with period coat and phantom mask. Overall the video shoot was a success. I hope you all enjoy it.
Last weekend I had the honor of hosting a behind the scenes tour of the AMA's for the pre-show. As the backstage correspondent, I had the responsibility of showing the audience a little bit of the theatre itself, and I also interviewed the host of the AMA's himself, Mr. Jimmy Kimmel. I really had to dig up some improvisational skills when it came to Jimmy. Of course we had a script, and of course Jimmy stuck to it not a single time, haha. We had three different takes of the most random things you can think of. Due to the fact that we kept going on tangents, the producers asked us to do one final take that would remain in the time frame, and that is the take that they ended up using. Needless to say, Jimmy is hilarious.
Finally, I saw Spring Awakening the Musical last night for the 3rd time. I've seen it twice on Broadway and now I've seen the national tour. I am really in love with this show. I bought the CD and have been jamming it in my car since. On top of that, I had the pleasure of meeting the cast and spending some time with them. They are such a great group of people. One of the most amazing things is that the cast is so young. It is always inspiring to watch young talented people holding they're own as professionals on a stage with a rigorous schedule of about 8 performances a week. They keep it so fresh, and have absolutely moved me. I keep looking forward to the day where I can hopefully have the same experience and work on Broadway myself. That would be the dream.
"Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:19-20

__________Journal - Home in the USA It feels so good to be home! Just being able to spend some time with my family after a long time away is such a breath of fresh air. It's also nice to have my clothes put away in the dresser and the closet. When you travel you pretty much live out of bags. And to top it all off, we've been doing some construction around the house, so now we even have a great new attic to hang out in. The house looks great.
Since I've been back home, I was approached to record a new song to promote the Disney Theme Parks called "Celebrate You". It was written by Matthew Jerrard and Robbie Nevil who wrote many of the songs in the High School Musical movies. I performed it for the first time at Disneyland a few days ago, and of course we had to hit a few rides on our way out. I love the Indiana Jones ride! That ride is so old, and yet it is still one of the coolest rides in the park. Anyway, the performance was taped and it will air during the Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade on ABC on Christmas morning. Hope you all enjoy it.
Last night I went to the movie theatre and saw "Changeling". Wow! Everyone needs to see this film. It is the epitome of good story telling. You are invested in it from beginning to end. I'll tell you one thing though, if you're in a bad mood, don't see it yet. It's such a roller coaster ride. I felt happy, scared, depressed, angry, nervous, confused, all over the place. And Angelina delivers such wonderful performance. Everyone does. It really makes you want to fight for her. I think I smell Academy Award Nominations.
Now I have to talk about one of the most incredible things to happen to our country that will hopefully continue to inspire and pull us together over the next 4 years: the election of Barack Obama as the next President of The United States of America! That afternoon I went to the polls office and cast my vote on the ballot for the first time. That night, I hadn't felt nervousness like that for a long time. Even my two youngest sisters were intrigued by this historic election and the weight that it holds. Phoenix kept going around the house announcing where the voting count stood. The moment Obama was elected there was major jubilation in my house, and my phone was ringing off the hook from the calls of friends and family who are also avid supporters. Everyone was so emotional and in a joyful shock at the fact that we as a country and as a people have progressed so much over the years. And after hearing his motivating speech, there was a feeling of empowerment, that anything is possible, and that we all as human beings have something to live and strive for. I stand here today truly proud to be an American.
"Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12: 17-21

__________Journal - Back From Europe Hey everyone, it's been a little while. Let me first say thank you to all of our fans of High School Musical for making Senior Year the #1 movie in the World. We made this film for you guys and are beyond grateful. I've been on a whirlwind press tour across Europe for HSM3. We were pretty busy, but I still got a chance to experience and take in the incredible culture. I went to the Louvre in Paris and saw the Mona Lisa! She's beautiful. I went to a traditional Flamenco performance in Madrid, some of the most inspirational dancing I've ever seen in my life. The show was in a very small room similar to a black box theatre, so it was a very intimate setting. And when they dance, they show so much emotion it's like they're giving you their soul on stage. I actually went and bought flamenco shoes the next morning. Hopefully I can start up some lessons soon lol. Munich was one of the most breath taking sights. To see everyone in the traditional lederhosen was pretty funny, but still amazing to see that they truly do wear them proudly. I also found that the German language is remarkable to hear first hand. I studied Spanish in high school, which has similarities to French and Italian, so it wasn't as out of the ordinary to hear those languages. However, listening to a true German introducing us at the premiere in his native tongue was needless to say unbelievable. And as for London...well I've never been to a bigger premiere. The amount of fans that showed up, and had been camping out there since 5am, was yet another testament to the passion they have for HSM. I think I lost some of my hearing from the screams being so loud haha. I also got a taste of the foods from each country: Foie Gras and Escargot in Paris, Sliced hams with fresh tomatoes and actual pigeon in Madrid, Wiener Schnitzel and sausage in Munich, and of course tea and fish and chips in London. I love being able to try new foods. Oh, and did I mention that I talked to Michael Jackson! Our incredible director, Kenny Ortega, has worked with him numerous times and is actually good friends with him. A while back during the HSM concert tour, MJ graced us with his presence at the Las Vegas performance. I actually shook the man's hand and then went on to perform knowing that he was sitting right there in the audience. While we were out to dinner in Paris, Kenny called him and we got to talk to him! I grew up watching and listening to Michael and being able to talk to him was one of the biggest highlights of my life.
After getting back from Europe we did all of the LA press, along with the High School Musical 3 U.S. premiere, which took place at USC. We were all very happy to be there together for that final film. We will all miss it dearly. Then I had a concert at the Taste of Soul Festival. It had been a little while since my crew and I had a performance, but we warmed up pretty quickly. Then it was off to New York for Good Morning America, Regis and Kelly, TRL, CBS Morning Show, and 106 and Park. It was nice to be back in my old home. I saw a lot of my family and had some good old NY pizza. But it was the incredible pizza in Italy that came next. It was back to Europe for the Italian premiere in Rome. And the best part was that we had some down time to see this beautiful city. We went to the Coliseum and the Vatican and saw the Sistine Chapel. We went to Pompeii to see the ancient uncovered city. It was truly like being transported back in time. And we walked all around Rome, which is practically a museum of a city itself. Best food in the World! Sooooooooo Good! I definitely plan on living in Italy one day.
Finally, I came back home to do the Bonnie Hunt Show and Jimmie Kimmel Live, which were both very humorous and tons of fun. This whirlwind tour has been amazing, but I gotta say, it's nice to be back home sleeping in my own bed. There's no place like home. Right now, all of my focus is on our fast approaching Election Day. Everybody, please please please don't forget to vote! Good luck to our country in receiving our new president to come. And good luck Barack Obama!
"We have this treasure from God, but we are like clay jars that hold the treasure. This shows that the great power is from God, not from us."
2 Corinthians 4:7

__________Journal - Heading to Europe What's up everybody? Right now I am in the middle of packing for a trip to Europe. Since the premieres for High School Musical 3 will take place there first, the rest of the cast and I will be going to Paris, London, Cologne, and Madrid for press. I've never been to Germany or Spain before so I'm especially excited to visit those countries. Although, we probably won't have much time for sight seeing due to our rigorous publicity schedule. I'll just make a list of places I plan on seeing the next time I go. Either way, just getting the opportunity to go is awesome.
The rest of my week has been pretty nuts. The beginning of the week I went to a benefit supporting Barack Obama's campaign. At first we had to wait an hour in a giant crowd of very anxious and pushy people. Whoever organized the event didn't do a very good job. But it was so worth the wait to actually get to see Obama deliver a speech in person. What an inspirational man. Later in the week I went to Shriners Children's Hospital to visit with some of the kids. It was so great! My agency, William Morris, set up this whole mini premiere for the new movie Igor. All of the kids got dressed up and went down a mini red carpet while they got they're pictures taken and everything. Just hanging out with the kids brings you back to earth though. We all have to be so grateful for our health and everything we are given cause it can be taken away at any time. But getting them to smile by just spending some fun time with them is one of the best feelings. Then last night I went to an event for Declare Yourself which is an organization dedicated to getting young people to register and vote. Anybody reading this, who is 18 or older and not yet registered, please go and register! Your vote and your opinion counts so much and can make a difference. Even if you're not really a political person, at least you can truly have the right to complain if your preferred candidate doesn't win the election.
The rest of my week was mostly spent in the recording studio. I'm back in the lab hard at work on my second album. This week I was working with Brian Kennedy (Disturbia, Forever) and Claude Kelly who's worked with Akon, Leona Louis, and even Michael Jackson. We've been cutting some great songs. I hope you all enjoy it.
__________Journal - The Tour is over! Hey, I'm on the bus at the moment on my way to Kansas City to catch a flight back home. The tour is officially over! We finished our final two shows this weekend in Iowa and Kansas. I loved the crowds in both places, very loud. There was even a moment in Iowa where, due to the weather beaten slippery floor, I took a spill. Haha, I just layed out on the floor still singing into the mic, got back up, and the crowd started cheering. It's all so bittersweet. I'm happy to have finished the tour, yet this is truly the best group of people I could've asked for. Rockin' shows, good attitudes with no drama, and nothing but fun! Thank you again to all that came to the shows. For those that didn't, I'll be back on the road soon and look forward to seeing you there!

__________Journal - Welcome Hey everyone! I want to welcome you again to my new website. Hope you enjoy all the new content and please be sure to sign up in iFanz to get e-mails with the latest news and information. Thanks again for checking it out!
Right now I am in the midst of a U.S. tour consisting of songs from my existing album "Another Side" as well as introducing some new songs from my up coming sophomore album. It's been nothing but a pleasure performing for those who have come to the concerts thus far. Thank you! And I've been having a great time with my talented crew on the road. We have been performing mostly at State fairs and theme parks, so we've had fun riding the fair rides and chowing down on the oh so good fried fair food haha.
I would like to address the recent canceled concerts in Fort Wayne, Albany, Dallas, Houston, and Tulsa. I know that some of my fans are disappointed about these canceled shows and I am also disappointed that I did not get the opportunity to perform for them. Sadly the shows were canceled under circumstances that were beyond my control. But my team and I are working as best we can to reschedule shows in those areas for future tours. I personally would never want to take away anyone's opportunity to see the show. I'm excited to be able to come back and perform for those who were planning on coming. Hope to see you there!
Peace and Love,
Corbin
